Hi,
We have BODS 4.2 installed on Win 2008 R2 Server, using MS-SQL Server 2012.
Recently we had change in the IP addresses of both, the BODS and the DB servers. The following steps were done post that to the configurations:
- updated IP address of DB server in all ODBC DSNs on the BODS server
- updated the DS repository databases through IPS CMC. All repositories show as Active.
- updated DSCONFIG.TXT to reflect new IP address.
However, when we try to connect to a repository in the data services designer it gives an error:
ERROR: ODBC call <SQLDriver Connect> for data source <10.91.171.16> failed: <[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist or access denied. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen(Connect()).> Notify Customer Support. (BODI-1112172)
The IP address shown in the error message is the old database server IP.
Any suggestions on where else an update of IP address or change of configuration is required?
Thanks,
Ashish K
I also facing the same issue, too bad there is not reply for this post. Do you have solution for this? Mind to share it out here?

Is this happening with only 1 Local repository? may be you need to re-register the local repository in IPS CMC
Please check SAP Note.
