integrating SAP R/3 with BPC

Hi Experts,

Our client is looking for implementing BPC and integrating the same with SAP R/3.

They want data postings to flow through R/3 and wish to do consolidation using BPC /BCS .

Firstly is it feasible to do consolidation this way.If yes what could be the drawbacks?

Secondly if we are asked to develop a small end to end scenario, pls suggest a ccouple of them.
