Hi All,

Here we facing the issue i.e when the user logging into the ESS portal and they click on a personalinfomation link he get a critical error and the message is "Personnel number is not yet assigned".

I checked the user's org assignment, communication infotype(user name), payroll area, and other security settings and don't see any data inconsistencies. The user's have been able to get into the portal succesfully in the past.

Has anyone seen this error and how was it resolved.

Hi,

Do the following to get rid of this error:

Go to Transaction HRUSER

Assignment of Employee to existing Users

Select the Employee and press Assign employees.

We search for the employee using his Personnel No. and assign it.

The Create Relationship dialog box appears. This assignment creates a relationship between an employee and a user.

We can view the employeeu2019s relationship in the Communication info type (0105) via transaction PA20.

Hello M,

Yes, I have experienced this!

The issue with this personal number is that it is not being assigned to a user in the portal.

Logon to HRUSER (Tcode) and assign this pernr to the user and you are good to go.

Thanks for your quick response, I have already checked in Hruser(Tcode),the personal number is already assigned to that particular user, and i checked in communication infotype and its subtypes also, everything is on its place.

Its help will surely be rewarded.

Hi,

There can bew few other issues as well.

Firstly check that whether the user id with which you are loggin in EP is same as that in R/3.Or if you are mapping with any other user, check if that user is assigned to an employee via HRUSER or not.

It can also be a security concern wherein a role which is assigned to that user allows it to view it only rather than maintain.

Also check number range assignments in PA04.

Hi Dear All,

We have sorted out the problem, the problem was with the permissions of the personnel data,user was not given permission to change the personnel data. Once our security team changed the permission from "I' to "E', afterwards everything was fine.

I am having the same problem.

My portal ID and user ID are the same. Do I need to check for some specific user mapping on portal side?

Please advice.
