Hi,
I am using BI Platform 4.2 SPS 03 and Lumira Add on for 1.31.
My requirement is to have the same user security as the sample documents in Lumira Samples folder in the Public folders on BI Platform.
Then, after I open this document and I can see the compose and visualize tabs.
I also notice save is disabled, but save as is enabled.
Is there a way to set this type of security for my own uploaded Lumira Documents?
This is very important to our business model.
Thank you,
Matt
Hello Matthew - I encourage you to take the free Open SAP Course Getting Started with Lumira at https://open.sap.com/courses/lum1 -
Week 4 covers security for Lumira in depth; while it covers Lumira Discovery, I think similar concepts will apply to Lumira 1.31 - the instructors go over the security in-depth.
Good luck

In order to get visualize, you need to give edit rights. If you want to ddiable save option for the user, just give a right called "Edit object that user owns", so user can save to different location rather than overwriting the existing lumira document.

Hi Jawahar,
I tested your rights settings, and the Edit Object The User Owns is a good work around because it allows them to visualize after doing a "Save as" to their favorites directory.
It doesn't explain the behavior of the "Lumira Samples" directory which allows only save as + visualize even with full control on the directory.
I've implemented what you said and will have to tell users to first Save As before they can use visualize.
Thank you,
Matt
Take the copy of view on demand access level, modify to add Lumira document rights, lumira application rights to the custom access level. On the public folder, you assign the group and newly created access level .
