Audit Trail for User-Role assignment history

Hi Experts,

in Portal (EP6 & EP7) - is there any functionality by which we can get history of role assignment been done? I mean - I need an audit trail for which role is assigned or deassigned from a particular user at which time. And from role side which users are assigned and deassigned to it. We are having problem in tracing the role assignment as we are unaware of this kind of functionality. We have both EP6 and EP7 in our landscape - so need solution for both of them if possible. If there is no in-built functionality - any idea how we can write a custom component here to achieve the same? In that case it would be really helpful to get some guidance on which table to access to create a report on this requirement.

Hello Shubhadip,

As per my understanding let me explain your scenario:

You have set of roles and you want to monitor these roles as of who created, changed and changed time and also which user has this role.

If this is the scenario then you can pull all this information programmatic way and also display in a Excel document form.

Please let me know if this is what you need, i can walk you through its developement.

What you stated is not exactly my requirement. I am re-iterating my requirement here.

From Role Side: which user got assigned to it and when. Suppose I created a role 1 year ago. I should be able to pull out which users were assigned to it by whom on which date and which users were deassigned from it in a list.

From User Side: similar requirement. Which role is assigned to or deassigned from this user by whom on which date.

I think SAP backend security has this kind of reports where they can track the role assignment history. They can catch if there was a role assignment by mistake by a certain administrator. I am looking for similar things in portal also.
