when do we use BD87 for idocs. At what occassions? can somebody explain. Because i can see the idocs in we19 , rectify the error and reprocess also. Then why d

Hello,

Check this:

In WE19 we can process only one idoc at a time, whereas in BD87 we can process any number of IDOCs.

In WE19 a new IDOC number is generated everytime we process an IDOC.But in BD87, the same IDOC number is retained even after reprocessing.

We cannot process a successful IDOC in BD87 transaction.But we can process a succesful idoc in WE19.

Note:Do not use we19 for reprocessing. It is only for testing and debugging purposes.

then what do we use bd87 ?

once a user asked me reprocess the same idoc. i did that i we19 in production, she said she got it and confirmed to me that it was reprocessed. and i remember i did that in production. was that wrond to do like that? then what did she get?
