I'm not experienced with SAP BW at all and we have moved away from using SAP BW for reporting and now I want to retire the BW system. Does anyone have a checklist of steps that I should go through on the ECC system to turn off all the extractors and queues before we shut down the BW system?

Thanks

Hi,

With help of basis team, you can remove RFC connections between ECC and BW.

Due to disconnection of bw system, all depended jobs may fail at SM 37 if any exist. those can be keep on hold.

at RSA7 also all delta will fail. if you dont want see them as red then you can delete all extractors which are there at RSA7(ECC).

if SAP BO and BPC is built on top of BW system, then please disconnect those connections as well.

Thanks

You can disconnect the BW system from the ECC system. If the BW system is monitored through an external system you might need to disable that.
