Order unit Change in Purchase Info Record Consequences

Hi.

I tried to find out about the consequences of changing the Purchase info record "Order Unit" on General dada. I know it will give 3 messages

1. Changing the order unit has far-reaching consequences

2. Conversion factor replaced by one already defined

3. Please check units of measure and conversion factor

I also knew that I have to check Conversion in "Purchase order unit of measure" section of general dada tab, and qty conversion in "Purcahse organization data1" tab and condition price and validity.

Is there any impact on open purchase documents for same material and vendor like Purchase order? Is there any KBA or sap note on consequences of changing Order unit from tonnes to pound ? currently order unit is tonnes and I am going to change into pound. Thanks Shree

Hi,

If you doble click on the message "Changing the order unit has far-reaching consequences" - 06317, system will show you the additional check to be done if you want to change the order UOM in info-record. Check the same and revert back in case you need additional support.

In addition, you may implement the below note which already identified few bugs if you change the order price UOM.
