Hi friend,
can you provide me with link of sample file to file scenario using transport protocol FTP.
Also want to knw what are the FTP connection parameters that we need to provide in this scenario.

FTP Parameters
1. Adapter Type: FILE (FTP)
Note
IF in case if u do not have FTP Server select Option as NFS )
2. Transfer Protocol as File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
3. Message Protocol as File
4. Adapter Engine as Integration Server.
File Access Parameters::
1. Source Directory as Provide the corresponding Directory from where XI needs to Pick the File.
2. File Name as Provide the corresponding File Name at whcih XI needs to Pick
Note Please make sure the same name u need to enter even if spaces also XI will consider and doesn't pick..
FTP Connection Parameters
Server (FTP Server Address).
Port
Data Connection as Mostly Passive
Time Out (seconds)
Connection Security as None
Annonymous Logon
Provide Authentification Details;:
User Name
Password Retype Password
Connection Mode Temporary/ Permanant
Transfer Mode Binary
Also select option if u need archive or not...

Use FTP server IP there,if u r not have FTP then use NFS option.

We use FTP when we need to access data from another system in that case we need to provide the details about that system like :
Server
Enter the host name or IP address of the FTP server.
Port
Specify the port number of the FTP server. The default is the standard port for the FTP server (21).
Data Connection
Active
In active mode, the server establishes a data connection from its data port, port 20, to an end point chosen by the client.
Passive
In passive mode, the client establishes a data connection to the port required by the server.
The default setting is a passive data connection. Only change this setting if you have a specific reason.

I am using file adaptor with transport protocol as FTP and Message protocol file.
there in FTP connection parameters it is askin for SERVER, but i am not sure what to give there,any of the link above is not dealing with this scenario
