Can u please tell me difference between aggregation and aggregation level?

Hi Charan,

Just an clear explanation on the salem illustration

Aggregation does mean that we are doing some aggregation using aggregate functions.

Aggregation Level means that with which dimension or in respect to what we are doing the aggregation.

Aggregation can be done at hour level, day level, week level, month level etc,

The way we do aggregation is same but the level is different between the above dimensions ( hour, day, week etc,)

aggregation is when you apply an aggregation function like (SUM, COUNT, MAX, MIN,...etc) on a specific measures say "SALES"

if you have an example like Country, State , City and you want to know the total sales of the country so its a level of aggregation

if you want to drill down to the state, so its another level, and so on.
