Leave against substitution

Hello Experts,

We have a situation where a substitution record (IT2003) for 17.03.2018 is created under general substitution and in work schedule, 17th March is defined as a weekly off (off/unpaid) however, when employee is applying the leave on substitution day 17.03.2018, the below error is coming as - "

Attendance/absence 17.03.2018 - 17.03.2018 during non-working period (att./abs.type)"

I want system to sense the substitution and permit to apply leave against a substitution day and deduct quota for one day as well.

Second thing is that for another employee who belongs to the same PA/PSA and PSG groupings, it is allowing to create and save the entry in IT2001 for leave type for 17th March, how?

Note that both employees belongs to same PA/PSA and same PSG grouping in config. Only ESG grouping is different. I have also checked time constraint class and it is maintained ā€œEā€ for 2001 (Absences) and ā€œNā€ for 2003 (Substitution).

Could someone please throw some light here?

    For substitution in work schedule use Tcode PA61 and then enter personnel number give the start and end dates of substitution ,then click on the monthly calendar view where you can make changes to the work schedule and save .

    For IT2003 Go to --> PA61 then give the personnel number and then give start and end dates of the substitution, click on substitutions in the infotype and click create button,there you will be able to find Daily work schedule and Work schedule rule .Choose Daily work schedule if the employee is weekly or else choose Work schedule rule if you want substitution on monthly and then fill Work schedule rule and holiday calendar ID and save entries .
