    Hello Gopal,

The three engines Configuration Engine, Pricing Engine and Tax Engine, formerly comprised by the IPC 4.0, are now delivered as part of SAP AP 7.00 (referred to as AP Configuration Engine, AP Pricing Engine and AP Tax Engine) running on a Web AS 7.00. No separate installation steps are necessary - nevertheless, at least the VMC has to be enabled on each Web AS application server of your system (see note [854170|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/854170])

AP Configuration Engine run embedded in the application server. The communication between the engines and web applications running on a SAP J2EE engine (the former IPC 4.0 Web application are now part of SAP SHARED JAVA COMPONENTS 5.0 ) now is based on RFC and can be secured according to the[ Security Guide for mySAP CRM 5.0|https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700005927852005E/SGCRM50.pdf].

The IPC web application components have to be deployed from the SAP SHARED JAVA COMPONENTS.

Maintain table COMM_IPC_URL (cross-client) with the following entries:

    *Destination*: IPC_CFG_UI
*URL* http://<J2EE_server>:<port>/ipc/ipc/command.do (host and port are the J2EE server (Java Stack) and port in your landscape.
