In SAP standard, there are two movement type for customer return, which are 651 or 653. Movement type 651 can generate inspection lot, but no journal. Movement type 653 has journal but not generate inspection lot. We need both inspection lot generation and posting journal for customer return.

try using 655 mvt.

Activate 05 inspection type in material master ,post 655, ths will create inspection lot with stock posting
