Accessing BEx Information Pane (cube meta data) via WEBI

All,

BEx query analyzer shows meta data on the info cube or BEx query. This includes the Author, the last time the cube was refreshed, the info provider name, last refreshed etc.

A customer wants to know how to bring this information into the BOBJ world, particularly Webi.

Can anyone help?

As mentioned it is not available on the Universe.

However, it is possible to create a Univers on the bw technical content InfoCubes, where you can find this type of data and then combine two queries (or create a multi universe) to show this data.

I know it is not a real solution, but if it is a hard requirement, it may be answer.

    Kind regards,

    Luc

      Hi Steve,

In BW there is an InfoCube called 0TCT_VC11, but it is a virtual one. This cube contains shows the object status (date last loaded, ...).

Information on queries can be found in BW table RSRREPDIR (query last changed, ...) and RSZELTDIR (element type REP) which contains for example the description.

I hope this answers your question.

      Kind regards,

      Luc
