Hi All,

I am trying to set up alerts in my Q system so that I can get an email if any job fails. I've created an email list so that a group of us can get those alerts. I've made the appropriate changes and we are getting emails about failed jobs. The only problem is that these emails are coming from client 000 and not from 100. We want these to generate alerts from 100.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Also you have to schedule the job from scot and also make the neccessary setttings in the scot like your mail server and all.

Then you can make the changes in the method and assign the method to appropriate node.

yes check the job scheduled for scot and also check the ccms job teither of this job runs in client 000

see the job details for the client used by the job.

Hi,

I dont think there is a problem in getting mails from 000. there is one job which runs in sap client 000 that checks the status of alerts in RZ20/alert monitoring objects and send the mail from alert function modules that you have set. It requires a user id in 000 client which would send the mail.

Whether the mail is send from 000 or any other client it would give you the correct data from all cleints as you can see that same RZ20 screen alert monitor values for different clients from 000 also.

Email from client 000 is part of the design. No way to change that unless you modify the function module SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT.

Thanks for a quick reply. I just checked, no reference has been made to client 000 under SENDER. Do we need any such reference in that parameter? If we do, whats the syntax like? Any other suggestions?

Hello Manjeet,

Please look for the auto reaction method linked to the node and double click on it. Under parameters please check if any reference has been made to client 000. Parameter is SENDER.
