Auto Reorder level

Hi all,

client wants to have Automatic reorder point for consumption based planning. If so ineed historical date.

We are planning to go live in two months time.

How can i upload the historical data from legacy system into SAP.

Is it advisable to go for automatic reorder planning at the begining itself?

hi,

I that you can load historical consumption using IDOC menthod for message MATMAS03....but pls check it with ABAP consultant before doing anything....

Ofcourse, Auto reorder point plng is not suggested in the initial but you can go for it...

Hi,

You dont need historical data for defining reorder point qty.

Depending on the ongoing purchaing of the material you can ask the purchasing dept what best the reorder point must be and input these values in the material master and carry out the process.
