we r using variant configuration in our project.the header material is a kmat material and one of the subassembly is a kmat material.so i have to use a class type 300 for header material.and class type 200 for the lower level material or can i use what ever i want ?
Hi,
You have variant configuration your material is a kmat material and one of the subassembly is a kmat material. So you have to use a class type 300 for both. Why do you have HELB as KMAT?
I have alwready explained you the difference in previous thread.
Class type 300 is for variant configuration.
Class type 200 is for classes that are used as class items in bills of material.

Hi,
You have to maintain 300 for header material. For lower level material you donot have define the class unless it is again a configurable material. Simple lower level materials need not have a class attached to them.
Class type 200 is for Classes that are used in BOM as items.

Hi,
I think you should be using class type 300 only,
Class type 200 is for classes that are used as class items in BOM.
Hope u r clear
