Standard heirarchy change

Dear All,

Currently we are facing a problem with changed standard cost center heriarchy in controlling area.

Earlier we were having the cost center heirarchy which has been changed by mistake. Again when we try to retain the original herirachy we getting an error of standard heirarchy cannot be changed.

Please help out in this regards.

You can only do this if the standard hierarchy already assigned does not contain any cost centers.

However, the hierarchy already contains cost centers.Consider the following notes regarding the standard hierarchy:

>It must be unique; it is not used for another controlling area;

>It may not contain any single values.

>It must be classified as a cost center hierarchy; another hierarchy,such as a cost element hierarchy, may not be defined with the samename.

You can change the sdtandard hierarchy whenever you like through OKEON. What error exactly (error number) do you get?

Dear Eli,

We are getting the below error in controlling area settings not with in the standard heirarchy.

Standard hierarchy C8000 can no longer be changed.

Earlier in the controllling area settings the standard heirarchy was C1000 after that it has been changed to C8000 and when he try to retain the changes to C1000 the above error is getting reported.

Hi,

So, you do not change the hierarchy itself, but the assignment to the controlling area? This should not be done after the postings... Just change the structure itself adjusting it to the requirements.

Hi,

Can anybody help in this regard as these changes have been done in development system and not moved to Production.

Moreover the system is not allowing due to the assigned cost centers.
