Dear experts,

is there a way to access the column headings of the columns of a data source of type query (or in general) in a script (e. g. to change some captions to another language after clicking on a button)?

During more of 20 years of ABAP programming I learned to appreciate the possibilities to read the definition of structures, tables, views and ALV grids via different function modules and classes e. g. to determine the short/medium/long texts or technical definition of different fields but did not find a solution for this type of task for Lumira Designer 2.1.

Kind regards

Franz

Hello Franz,

It appears like you can do something like this with the Scorecard - see the SAP Help https://help.sap.com/viewer/4f58d91f03e441b68d3187e94be27df2/2.0.3.0/en-US/0c953279c07549cb9d462ea372d1bbcd.html

Another alternative is to use some of the extensions https://www.sapappcenter.com/apps/9731#!overview

Hello, Tammy,

thanks a lot for the fast answer and the valuable hints. I will have a closer look at the Application Designer Guide and the functions/methods to retrieve information about the data source. The product you also linked to sounds great and I will keep it in mind buit I think my company would prefer a solution within Lumira itself first.

Kind regards,

Franz
