Hi Freinds,

Kindly help me in folllowing senario.

I want my version for master inspection char to be changed only if the values in the quantitative data has been changed, now in standard SAP if I change the short text, then also the next version is created.

Aslo, how can we delete the older version.

Pl. guide me what is the problem.

Hi Amit,

You have to manage it manually only.

If you don't wish, the system to not generate any version then deactivate the indicator "Master Insp. Characteristic with History" in plant level customizing for QM.

Then system will not create new version each time you change the MIC but when ever you wish to created new version (change in Qnty. data) use trx QS22 instead of any other, which trx purely meant to create versions.

And to make this automatically, there is no option accept coding in user exit.

To delete the Older version from the data base system also you will be in need to perform the archive run, so I would advice to sit with your basis guy and get it solved.

remove tick Insp. Master insp Characteristics with Historyin basic data tab

In spro in quality management> basic setting>maintained setting at plant level. there is in basic data tab, there is master inspection charactstics with history is set then whatever you changes in MIC everytime you will get new version.
