ATP issue with PP & SD common material

Hello,

We are having a situation where a semi-finished material is used for internal production & as spare part sales to customers. Both SD & PP areas are using common storage location.

Now the issue is that most of the times stock is blocked either by PP area or against SD orders. This is causing issue as business is sometimes not able to confirm SD orders

Example:

Stock in SLOC XXXX- 1000

PP requirement- 800 (confirmed)

Sales order- 300 (only 200 confirmed)

As Sales order is urgent to customer and business cannot confirm.

Please advise how can we handle this situation in SD area

Ideally you should have separate storage location
