AWS CAL Hana Express 2.0: How to enable SDI?

Per my understanding the Hana SDI 2.0 component is included in CAL. However I cannot find any trace of it.

No dpagentconfigtool, no /usr/sap/dataprovagent directory, Hana dpserver not active, in the Database Explorer no node for the Data Provisioning (Catalog only and Database Diagnostic Files only).

Any pointers how to enable that? How to get the UI components?

Hello Werner - SDI is an optional component in HANA Express (just like SAP HANA Streaming Analytics, SAP Enterprise Architecture Designer, and a few others are). You would have to download the SDI package and run its setup in order to use it. Note that a console mode version of the Download Manager should be in your /usr/sap/HXE/home/bin directory and that allows you to download components. For starters, you may want to download the full HANA Express Getting Started Guide which has a whole section on installing optional components - including SDI. For example, you could run the following to download the guide (where [proxyhost] and [proxyport] would be specific to your environment):

HXEDownloadManager_linux.bin --ph [proxyhost] --pp [proxyport] linuxx86_64 vm Getting_Started_HANAexpress_VM.pdf

Chapter 5 is the section on Optional Configuration with 5.8 specifically about Installing SAP HANA Smart Data Integration.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards, MIke
