preference model missing during transferring BOM.

Hi Gurus,

Thanks for help on this in advance.

I tried to transfer the BOM to GTS from ECC.

Procedure is:

ECC:

1. /SAPSLL/MENU_LEGALR3

2. Master data TAB -> Transfer Bills of Material

3. Fill in the material name, plant, valid from..

Then Execute:

meet error message from SAP GTS:

There is no pref. model for product xxxx in plant XX from feeder system.

How should I fix it?

Hi Rick,

I have seen, most of the time, the inability to transfer BOMs is a result of poor maintenance of BOMs on the R/3 side.

try these:

1. Do the BOM exists in CS03?

2. Compare your customizing settings

3. Are your BOMs active ?, within validity/ not marked for deletion

4. Check your organizational structure

Hi ,

Please maintain Preference model under "Define Plant-Based Preference Model" for the respective palnt of the material this will help in landing BOM.
