Printing/Exporting a CR Report on a Mobile Device?

I recently created some reports in Crystal Reports that run through a third-party software. I can view the reports through the third-party software in a web browser, but I can't print or export them when working on a mobile device (iPad). I understand that it's really a problem with Crystal Reports Runtime Viewer on mobile devices, which takes over to perform the print/export operation. Is there a way to get the needed functionality on a mobile device?

I'm not sure whether this has changed, but for a long time the only two options for printing from an application that uses the Crystal SDK were either through PDF or ActiveX - neither of which can be done on an iPad. Don Williams, is that still the case?

We currently don't support our .NET SDK's on an IPad.

Best is to export the report to PDF and send the PDF to the IPad.

No mention of it on the Platform PDF.

    • Thanks for the information. We have crews using iPads in the field and it impacts their productivity if they can only export the reports they need while in the office. Is there any sort of expected timeline for supporting .NET SDK's on an iPad?

.NET is Windows, iPad is Apple, I doubt they will ever work together.

You could post on Apples forums and ask them when they plan to support .NET. applications.

Try Streaming the PDF to their iPad, it may be faster...
