Hi,

I'd like to know whether there's any way to do error handling when doing BIAL script in Design Studio or not. Because most of the times, the dashboard would be upset when we throw some unavailable filter values at it and bursting the exception error messages.

Something like you'd see in excel, like IFERROR or IFNA:

IF( IFNA( DS1.setFilterExt( "0CALYEAR", "2018" ), "Woops, no data here.");

Hey Donnie,

you can do that by an workarround. I have provided you a little script. In my example I want to filter the year. Throw an error, when the year, i want to filter, is not within the datasource.

Here is the script:

Whenever "dateset" is not within the datasource (for filtering) you will run into the error-message at the bottom, otherwise it is filtered to the according date:

Error:

Filter working:

Hope that helps?

Cheers,
Chris
