Conv Src and Conv Trgt in planning levels - understanding issue

Hi - can I please get a clear understanding on the 'Conversion Source' and 'Conversion Target' that's seen in planning levels? I know this is present in PRODUOMTO planning level with the 'Conv Src' for product attribute and 'Conv Tgt' for UoM but I am trying to understand how it goes along with the conversions? Has this got anything to do with the calc logic of the KF shown below - things here are not shaping up well for me, can someone please throw some light on this?

I tried to go through the help / config guide but couldn't find much that helps me, thanks for all your help in this regard.

Regards - Guru

    Hi Guru,

Product is always conversion source because it has Base UoM associated with it in its master data.

Whenever you load a key figure data for certain product, by default data is stored at base UoM of that product.

If you want to see key figure at a different UoM, it need to be converted by multiplying using UOM conversion factor(this can be seem in your screenshot). UoM conversion factor is the factor in which one UoM get converted into another, like 1 Ton - 100 KG

So this conversion factor is defined between Base Uom of product(hence product is conversion source) to another UomTO(conversion target).

    Thanks,
    Rohit
