SAPSHCUT: -type=Transaction w/ variant

Dear community,

We are using SAP shortcuts to start dedicated transaction codes directly from Windows' Desktop. This works pretty fine and according to SAP note 103019.

Now we are looking for a way to start a transaction code with a predefined variant or w/ multiple values for a select option. So far I was not able to figure out if this is possible.

Following thread mentions that it does not seem to be possible to pass multiple parameters for a select-option:

Anyway it would be preferred to pass a certain variant name in addtion to the transcaction code offering more flexibility for our purpose.

Thanks, Stefan

Hello Stefan,
please check the point "b) Report" as wrote in the note 103019

Best regards,
Ramin

Hi Ramin,

good hint and actually it works in case one is authorized to execute reports. But usually this isn't the case for business users in a productive environment. Therefore I hoped that there's an undocumented parameter for direct execution of a tcode w/ a specified variant.

regards, Stefan
