UDF-AFL is now part of “SAP RTL AFL FOR SAP HANA” from HANA 2.0?

I need to install UDF-AFL on HANA 2.0 Revision 23. I am unable to find UDF-AFL installation file on SAP Service Marketplace for the above mentioned HANA Version. UDF-AFL is now part of “SAP RTL AFL FOR SAP HANA”?

Hi Denys,

UDF-AFL for HANA 2.0 has been retrofitted into "SAP RTL AFL FOR SAP HANA". Got this info. from HANA Dev. team.

I went through the links you provided but didn't get my answer yet.

We have received a customer request to install 'Unified Demand Forecast' Library on HANA 2.0.

I have done many UDF Library installations but on HANA 1.0 not on HANA 2.0.

The usual naming convension for UDF Library file is "IMDB_UDFAFL_<HANA_Revision>_<path_number>.SAR" for HANA 1.0.

(For each revision of HANA 1.0 these is corresponding version of UDF Library).

I am unable to find the SAR file for UDF library on HANA 2.0. But the below statements from the link "https://help.sap.com/viewer/55c14d85842b4275afda2af381a7ab71/2.0.2.1/en-US/f72a8c53f4796655e10000000a423f68.html" make me think that UDF library is part of AFL component -> "SAP RTL AFL FOR SAP HANA" for HANA 2.0 revisions.

There is one software component that you cannot install as described above: SAP RTL AFL FOR SAP HANA. This AFL component is available as of SAP Customer Activity Repository applications bundle 2.0. It contains back-end functionality for two modules in SAP Customer Activity Repository:

-Unified Demand Forecast (UDF, provides the demand modeling and forecasting services, the application functions run directly in the SAP HANA database)

-On-Shelf Availability (OSA, provides the on-shelf availability services, the application functions run directly in the SAP HANA database)

You need to download a revision of SAP RTL AFL FOR SAP HANA and install it in your SAP HANA database

I am not familiar with the many different components “powered by HANA” like the Unified Demand Forecast Application (UDF). Best to check the documentation

• 2331410 – Overview of UDF AFL Revisions

Note 2377894 mentions SAP RTL AFL FOR SAP HANA is a component in the CAR RETAIL APPL BUNDLE 2.0 back-end product version of SAP Customer Activity Repository applications bundle 2.0.
