Problem in starting the evaluation version of Xcelsius 2008

I downloaded the Xcelsius 2008 free trial pack yesterday. I have admin rights to my PC so I was able to install the program. But when I tried to start the program (both in Start->Programs->Xcelsius->Xcelsius 2008 and in the respective folder on my C: drive) I get this message:

"C:\program files\businessobjects2008\xcelsius\xcelsius.exe

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem".

I already tried de-installing and then re-installing but that did not work out.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me on this.

    you can check the following:

    - Is Microsoft Excel installed on you system?

    - Is the version of Excel supported by Xcelsius?

    Take care,

Thanks Thomas. I am using MS Excel 2003 so that should not be the problem(?). At least in my company no one is using Excel 2007. I was not able to find system requirements for Xcelsius 2008 but I at least hope that Excel 2007 is not required.
