How to Display Merged Cells....

Hi Guys...

We have a spreadsheet that has 2 levels of nesting:

_______________2007

_________ACTUAL__TARGET

UG_________1_________2

PG_________1_________2

In excel we would "Merge and Centre" the top line so that people see that it applies to both columns. But this doesn't work when imported int Xcelsius. Xcelcius show it as this:

_________2007

_________ACTUAL__TARGET

UG_________1_________2

PG_________1_________2

Does anyone know how to do this?

Any info appreciated!

Regards

Mick

Hi Mick,

I have experienced exactly the same issue. It is not restricted to importing the spreadsheet but also occurs when you merge cells directly in Xcelsius. Xcelsius does not seem to handle formatting for merged cells correctly so I believe this should be logged as a bug.

In the interim, as a workaround I have been placing the text that needs to be centred in the middle cell of the cells that were previously merged. Of course this only works effectively if there are at least 3 cells to be merged.

Mustafa.

Thanks for the info - I'm learning that there are some real limitations to Xcelsius that I really don't like.

Perhaps someone else has a better solution - but I doubt it.
