Field FILE_NAME = FILE0001 in table SOFFPHF

We have so many entries in table SOFFPHF with field FILE_NAME = FILE0001. How do such GOS attachments get created in SAP? What does they imply?

Thanks and Regards,

FILE_NAME is not really the file name, it is the relative storage location of the physical document

GOS documents get usually created by user action, adding pictures to a material master or an equipment, adding word documents to purchase orders and so forth

The storage path is defined in OAC0 for the repository SOFFDB

    • Thank you. But when I pick up a GOS attachment name and search it in table SOFFPHF (with field FILE_NAME), I do get entry in the table. There are many entries in the table with GOS attachment names in the field FILE_NAME. But then there are also so many entries with FILE0001 in the field FILE_NAME. I want to understand the significance of FILE0001 in all these entries.
