Attach existing notification to workflow

How do I attach an existing notification to a workflow?

Notifications are created using our MSS application and although the linkages are set in swetypv they are not getting assigned to a workflow.

I get ye ole "There are no workflows that have already worked with this object"

Thoughts?

Cheers,

Stephen

Ok we figured out what caused the issue...it think.

We had a table space blow-up do to an archiving process on the 16th.

The table space contains table swwwihead.

I have 253 notifications that have no changed on time which were keyed through our MSS system at the time the tablespace was overloaded.

My hunch is that an entry in swwwihead was never created for these notifications and therefore there is not work flow assigned to them.

So I guess my question is how do I create and entry for these notifications so the workflows can process them.

Cheers,

Hi,

The problem could be what you told. But, to add to it, the issue could be not only this.

If you have made any changes to the BO(BUS2078 for Qual.Notif for example), and NOT GENERATED or not checked for any errors during activating the BO, then after transporting this BO to the target client, you will get this error and the wflow will not be triggered.

See if you generated the BO correctly. Also check if WF-BATCH user is created and has proper authorizations in that client.

Coming to how to start workflows, you can trigger the event thru SWUE by giving the Obj. Key and if you have the Event LInkage etc., proper, then it'll trigger the wflow and proceed automatically. If you have too many entries, you can develop a custom Report with FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT for all of these Notif.s.

BUT, I STRONGLY OBJECT THIS AS THIS IS IN PRODUCTION AND IS ONLY ONE TIME USE.

Hope others may suggest a better idea. Let's see.

Hope this helps

Thanks. SWUE worked. Once I created a new "CREATED" event using BUS7051 for each notification the workflows kicked off.
