Hi All,
I have a PO whose price has been increased. The change log shows the ID of the person responsible to release the PO and the T.code as "ME28". Is it possible to change the price through ME28?
PS: Opening the PO by double clicking in ME28 and making changes records as "ME23N" in change logs. The issue I have is the change log records the change to be done through "ME28".
Thank you.
Dear Mohit,
Yes, it is possible and you goto ME28 and press the details of the PO, then it bring you to ME23N screen and you can change the PO
from the screen. You can check SAP note 751129 which explain there was no difference between ME21N, ME22N and ME23N
from the authorization point of view and more details.
Best Regards,
ian Wong

Are there other changes along with this price change?
Certain changes will trigger a new price determination.
I think we would need more details from your PO to find out what happened. I would assume that ME28 is listed because somehow the price when releasing the order was not anymore identical with the price which was earlier in the order. As you found out that a manual change would show ME23N it was probably an automatic changed based on other parameters.
There is for example this OSS note 2265878 - Net price automaticaly changes by checking/saving Purchase Order created with reference
It does not list the release transaction, but a release is also a change and a PO gets saved again.
A similar question was posted last year (without solution) but it is an evident that it happens to others as well: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/832715
