On-premise data into SCP Persistence using SAP Cloud Platform Integration service

Hi,

We are planning to create a database within SCP which will be the recipient of data flowing from on-premise S/4HANA system. There might be data transformation in between. Any suggestions on how to best implement this using SCP Integration services? I read that real time data is possible.. Is it triggered from on-premise (push) or SCP (pull)?

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

You have two options:

1) Netweaver SLT

2) HANA Smart Data Integration

Both are "on-line" data replication agents. In case you use SLT, you'll need SAP Cloud Connector to have the remote HANA system available. You open a db tunnel with it by registering the db connection from on-premise to cloud.

Both systems will register database triggers on the source db. So once data is modified on the source it will be move to the remote system.

Smart Data Integration has the benefit of connecting to more the HANA databases and will allow you to perform several actions on the data for transformation. SLT will allow you to do transformation as well for simple scenarios.

Ivan
