report painter : 8A26. how it works?

Hi All,

Does anybody give me an idea of how report group 8A26 works in technical language?

Which programs are attached to that?

if I want to add custom fields in selection criteria, what I need to do?

if I want to copy this report group to z program how I should proceed?

Hi ,

SAP will generate Programs , based on ur Key/Char Fields , have a look at these links.

Hi Madhuri,

1.Go to transaction GR55, Enter the report group name and Execute it

2.On the selection screen, click system and then click on Status

3.A pop up will appear wherein you can the name of the program

4.You can copy this program to a z program and then do the modifications whereever you want.

Hi Shamin,

I copied to Z , Now facing one problem.

I have added company code in Z program as per user requirement and pass this to memory ID BUK.

In 8A26 report grp, there is option of dbl clking on items to see details of that GL.

but when I run Z program for particular company code, and dbl clk on one of the line item to see the details,

even though I have set parameter BUK with the bukrs-low, and even though it is passing to the program RCOPAC02 (for KE5Z ) , it gets cleared up somewhere and details are shown for all company code
