Lock double notification for the same equipment

Hi everyone, i am new here, i am spending about 1 year in sap PM and learning the basic process , but now i want to do some configurational thing in this same module , i want to know that how can i lock dual notification , if already one notification is in OSNO or NOPR OSNO state for the same equipment,

Hi Akansha,

Actually, I would like to understand the business process of why you need to lock the Equipment, I haven't seen these process except in Maintenance plan.

In Maintenance plan, you can set completion requirement, which means the next order will not be generated until the previous is Technically completed.

With respect to your requirement, say for an equipment you have a plan and orders are getting generated, suddenly you need to create a Corrective Order or there is a breakdown (Breakdown order), your business process of restricting an equipement with one open order will cause issues.

In other way, you can use Object Info, this is an information message to display the open and closed Notifications or Order for the specified period.

Hii,

I need this because of the reason that for the same equipment too many notifications are generated in breakdown category so that make data becomes messy. So i want that until and unless earlier breakdown is closed new one not able to generate.

Restricting to one Notification type or Order type it should not be a problem.

As suggested by Suleyman Bulus you need to develop custom checks during save or at the time when Equipment is entered in the Notification.

It is not possible to do it via standard customizing / configuration.

You need to develop a custom control for the exit: QQMA0014--->QM/PM/SM: Checks before saving a notification
