Hi Friends,
Where to see the changes made to BOM ?
The information available in CS80, CDHDR, CDPOS is not enough.
These doesn't give information about the the specific components. For eg., if I delete a component in BOM where can I find who has deleted, what component and when it has been deleted ?
Kindly help.
Thanks in advance.
HI all,
Thanks. I will check and come back

Hi ,
ECM has been already activated.
But changes have been made without a change number. How to track the changes in this case ?
Also how to make the change number field in CS02 mandatory ?

Hi,
No need to make change number filed mandatory in the CS02 transaction.
Once ur ECM ia activated in the OS27 transaction it will take care of what ever the changes made against the created BOM.
When ever u do the changes the one document will be created against that person name(Login ID).
Suppose u don't what to give authorization to all user to change the BOM then u have to go thr' ECM number and make change number filed mandatory in the CS02 transaction.
So u with out entering the chnage number u can not change the BOM.
Change number will be created by the design or R&D people.

Hi,
To keep track of BOM changes then u have to first activate the ECM.
1)T CODE:OS27 activate ECM active and history required.
So once u change the BOM then go to Environment in the menu tab select the chnage document.
It will the change document, double click on that document then it will show u what is the old value and new value, how has changed.
All information it will show

Vijay

Hi,
check in cs03.enter your material, plant and usage. execute it
then click Environment -> change doc -> Full and also try with CS81.
The best way to meet your requirements is to activate Engg. change management.
Then you will get track of all changes .
