Predefined Card layout on Fiori Overview Page

Hello,

I would like to know if there is a way to set a predefined order for the cards on Fiori Overview page, so that each time you open the page the cards are shown in the order I want.

Does anybody know how to achieve this output?

Thank you so much!

Hi Pierfrancesco, by default it shows in the order defined.

The user can drag and drop the cards into their preferred order.

If it's not preserving the order between sessions, try saving it as a variant

    Hi Jocelyn Dart,

we've recently created an OVP in one of our CDP's and stumbling about an issue which is related to this topic.

We are not really sure about the behaviour of user specifc card rearrangements. Sometimes the rearrangement of cards (i.e. the user is moving a card from the top left to the top right) is kept when the user is entering the app again or event re-launching the FIORI launchpad and sometimes it is not. We've checked out the variant management already but this is just considering any changes/presettings of the filter bar, but not the card arrangement.

Can somebody of you provide any information about the standard behavior or any hint about a resolution that the user specific card layout is always kept and reapplied constantly?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

HI Florian, It depends on the capability of the backend system/version you are using to save these changes as part of personalization. Since I mostly work with the most recent versions of S/4HANA that's not usually a problem for me. If you are having an issue I would suggest raising a SAP Incident to confirm if your backend is able to save such changes or not.

    Hope that helps.

    • Hey Jocelyn,

I know this thread is quite old. But I was really desparate to get a default layout working and found this thread with joy but then failed.

What I found out by experiment:

The card collection is sorted by cardName - by default they are numbered in there ( like Card01, Card02 ,..) therefore it appears to be sorted by definition.
