Dear Sumith

First go to MM01, input the existing material code in the field "Material" and other details. Also input the same material code in the tab "Copy from" and click on "Select views". Now see whether you can see those views required by you. If you are able to see those views, select and execute so that system will ask to input Plant, Sales Organization and Distribution Channel.

On your right side, you can see a tab "Copy from" where by default existing data will flow. Extend the sales area to which you want by entering datas in left tab and execute.

On the other hand, if you are unable to see the sales views, go to OMS2, select the material type and click on blue lens on top left. On your right side, you can see a tab "User departments" where select the views and save. Now repeat the process from first explained above.

thanks

Hi,

There are 2 ways to add views to the existing material master:

1. Go to mm01

- Enter the material for which you want to add the views.

- Then you enter the same material in copy from material

- Then you may find all the view

- Then select the views you want to add and make entries in the same view and save it

All this is done in mm01.

or

You can mass extend views for a material in tcode mm50.

Select the maintenance status as V for e.g. if you want to add views of sales. *-- Chirag

2. If the default setting is done in the material of the material type then you may not find the new views in mm01

If that is the case, then you go to spro >> log general >> mat master >> basic sett >> material types >>

define attributes of materisl types.

- Select material type of the material in which you want to make the change

- Double click on the same, then on right hand side, you will find user parameters under which you will find the views

- Select the view you want and save your settings

- Then go to mm01 and do the way it is mentioned in the first step.

HI SUmith..

Is that a standard material type you are creating...? what is the material type...? (LIke for eg :FERT for finished goods and DIEN for service etc)

As lakshmipathi has correctly pointed out go to OMS2 and select your material and on the user departments you can select the material views you need to input while creating your material.

Thanks,

Dear Sumith,

Through MM01 transaction you can extend the material

Go to MM01 transaction enetr your material then select the views which you are going to extend after that enter the organisational data like sales organisation, distribution channel and Plant etcc. then press OK now material will get extend and system will give the message"Materail XXXX is already available now extended to XXXX sales org and XX distribution chanel".

I hope this will help you,
