Hi,

My company has 3 levels of WBS elements..1,2 and 3. I would like to know how can I check in SPRO the maximum number of WBS elements that can be assigned to level 3. I checked in project coding mask but couldn't derive this (as mentioned in other blogs). Also, as per SAP Note 206264 - Large project structures, long runtimes.....it states as follows

WBS elements per project: A maximum of 10,000

Please help me to know how I can understand this.

Hi Inder,

as per this SAP Note 206264 "WBS elements per project: A maximum of 10,000". i do not think that anyone has tested this so far.

so consider this value as SAP has given.

thanks

Sunil

The limit stated in the SAP Note relates to performance problems. There is no technical limit to the number of WBS by level. But if you create a project with over 10,000 WBS elements the project will be unmanageable and render the system useless. I have a client who has a project with 9800 WBS elements and many more NWA's, if you run CN41 it dumps after many hours.
