The system cannot be reached the logon data could not be used. Adding Tenant Database in HANA

Hi,

i'm currently trying to add new System with User "DEVUSER" in HANA Studio Eclipse Plugin which runs on a tenant Database, but if i try to login the application will always give me the same error:

"The system cannot be reached the logon data could not be used"

My Input for adding the System is:

Host Name: 172.22.107.198 (Server IP in ifconfig)

Instance Number: 90.

Database Option: Multiple Containers -> Tenant Database (NAME: HDB)

Username: DEVUSER (I already tried to change my password)

The strange thing is, that on the Database Explorer, the new System DEVUSER is already connected.

One more thing to know is, that im currently running my HANA Express Server on a Linux PC, while my HANA Studio runs on a seperate Windows PC.

Thanks in Advance

    • New questions should be separate in the Q&A so that information is kept organized and useful to everyone. "HXE" is the default tenant database that comes in all HANA Express instances. I generally advise against creating new tenants for no reason because they take up additional resources.
