The F1 Performance Assistant pop-up screen comes up blank

Hello,

We have a user who, no matter what field and no matter what screen she looks at, when she places the cursor on a field and hits the F1 key the Performance Assistant pop-up screen comes up blank!

The icons are at the top of the pop-up screen (Technical Info, and Application Help) work fine, it is just the actual Help Text area of the screen that is blank.

Has anyone run across this problem before? I am about to ask our IT Help Desk guys to reinstall the SAP Gui on her machine to see if that fixes the problem ... other than that I haven't a clue as to what is wrong?

Thanks.

Scott.

hi Scott,

if such things happen I always ask the user to log on into SAP on another computer (where it works properly for another user). If the problem does not happen, than it is definetly a SAPGUI problem (where reinstall of the SAPGUI usually helps).

hoep this helps

"may be bcos of 2 reasons , 1.No authorizations 2.Basis havnt installed SAP help properly, ask ur basis guys"

I know her authorizations are fine since she has as much if not more than her staff in Accounting, and everone else in her department and the rest of the company has no problem with using the F1 Performance Assistant help.

I'm assuming that when you say "havn't installed SAP help properly" you are refering to the install on her PC. I will ask the IT guys to reinstall her SAP software on her machine.

Thanks.

The problem we found was that we were on an old level of the SAP GUI (ver. 11). We need to be on at least ver. 22 or higher when we are running Internet Explorer 7.

We updated the SAP GUI for the people who had new machines with IE7 to ver. 31 and this solved the problem.

I had IE8 and had the same problem. I uninstalled it and it works fine.
