Hi Experts,

We are trying to compare rules over different clients to see the differences.

Yes, PE01 for schema and PE02 for rules. but that will allow only to view or maintain one rule at a time. If I need to view say same rule in Dev and Qual - different clients - will I be able to do so?

Thanks a ton,

Ana

You can use transaction 'SCU0' (Customize Cross System Viewer) to compare T52C1 (schema) and T52C5 (rule) with other R3 connection. On the initial screen, click on 'Manual Selection' radio button, and 'Create'. A pop-up window will appear; Key in 'T52C5' (for rule), and leave 'Type' blanked.

On next screen, key in the R/3 connection you want to compare with; another screen will appear. Check mark the object, and click on 'Comparison' button. A pop-up will appear to ask if you want to restrict entries to compare. Click 'Yes' , and you will be able to key in the name of the schema / rule you want to compare.

Ted,

Thanks for your answer.

I tried everything. But after I enter T52C5, and clicked comparision button, i did not receive a pop up to compare and ask the name of the rule. We are currently using version 4.6 C.

Thanks again.

Does it at least do whole table comparison between two systems (as I don't have 46C to look at) ? If it does, try to create a new comparison; this time, after you key in the table name, it will lead you to 'Selection by / Manual input' screen. Click on object overview button. On the following screen, check mark on the table, and click 'Comparison' button. A logon screen (for remote system) will pop up for you to key in uname / pwd (if you don't already have uid/pwd set up on RFC between the two systems). Once you key it in, it will ask if you want to restrict the comparison (for ECC 60 anyway). This is where you would have the opportunity to key in the rule name.

Again, 46C may act differently ...

If I were you - I would do a visual compare. That means use RPDASC0 to explode your schema in Dev and QA . This programe will explode your entire schema with rules. Download this to XL sheet and compare by using freely avialble compare programs in internet.

That would fix your problem???

All the best.
