Multiple Outbound Deliveries for a reservation - EWM

All,

When we create Outbound Delivery (MB26 or MIGO) against a Reservation for a location which is EWM mamaged, system will allow to create multiple outbound deliveries unless the goods issue is completed

So if there is a delay in picking and goods issue from EWM side, and if we have a batch job for MB26, system creates multiple outbound deliveries for a reservation, anyone faced similar issue?

Below is an example to explain the issue I am facing

1) Create a reservation in S4 for 100 EA for a material

2) Post Goods issue using MIGO and MB26 for 100 EA

3) System creates Outbound Delivery if the location is EWM managed and creates an EWM Delivery in the integrated EWM system

4) Now before picking and Goods issue from EWM, go to MB26 or MIGO

5) Create another Outbound Delivery against same reservation for 100 EA

6) System will allow to create multiple Outbound Deliveries from S4 side until picking and goods issue is posted from S4 EWM

7) Issue here is system is not checking if there is an existing Outbound Delivery which is due for Pick and Goods Issue

Hi

Use MIGO. It is better than MB26. MIGO checks existing deliveries for reservation. If you are trying to create more deliveries for reservation it gives warning message (M7 466) by default. In customizing change this to Error message. So you can avoid creating deliveries for more quantity than requested.

You are correct, these processes work better with Production integration but in our project we create Manual reservation and also reservations are created by interfaces. Also we are using S4 HANA 1610 EWM which is in an integrated system on single instance.

Don't you think the answer in the other question where you commented on (https://answers.sap.com/questions/197658/material-reservations-over-supplied-with-ewm.html?childToView=476541#comment-476541) is clear enough? Or do you really think you get a better fitting answer this way?

It simply doesn't work this way. Use production integration and the staging processes for it, that is how you are supposed to work with a warehouse management system.
