FMRP_RW_BUDCON reports negative consumed budget

Dear All.,

We have carry forward FM Budget (BCS) using FMJ2 from 2017 to 2018 using combination of Fund Center and commitment items. For a particular Purchase Order, we found that though the commitment item was not yet selected for carryforward, the same still got posted as negative Consumed budget in 2018.

After analysis, we found that for the line item in PO, invoice was posted on 27.03.2018 (Entry date : 02.04.2018) and after that Credit Memo was posted on 30.03.2018 (Entry date 04.04.2018).

Out of above, the invoice consumed budget for Fin Yr 2017, whereas the credit memo released the budget for Fin Yr 2018

Unable to understand that even though document posting date falls in Yr. 2017, still invoice consumes budget for 2017 and credit memo for 2018. That too after finding that the commitment for that line item has still not being carry forward.

Is it that once even if single Fund center is carry forward, all commitments are irrespectively have effect of Yr. Change for FM.

Please people ... Help me, as this is Closing activity, which i am unable to trace.?

Hi,

For the dates, most probably there is no bug in what you are describing. You have to analyse FMIFIIT table for more clarity.

As for carry-forward, if you didn't put clear restriction on certain budget line, then whatever you take with FMJ2 is carried-forward. It seems therefore strange what you are describing, but there is no way to check it, unless you saved the screenshots or variants with which you executed your FMJ2.
