Negative stock allowed at OMJ1

Hi all

When we tried to import PGI from IDOC interface, error VL643 occurred.

(Text message is “Quantity of 1EA remains open after stock determination”)

Quantity of PGI are more than available quantity. So it must be the reason why error rise.

But at TRCD:OMJ1 negative stock are allowed for the storage location.

What are allowed at that TRCD? Are there no relation between PGI and OMJ1?

Along with OMJ1 setting for negative stock, also check you have selected check box "Negative posting permitted" in OBY6 for your company code

Stock determination of stock exceeding the available stock is possible as you can read in OSS note 127410 - Stock determination for negative warehouse stocks

OMJI is just general customizing to tell the system WHERE negative stock is allowed.

But you also need to define this in the material master as you probably do not want all materials to participate on negative stock management.

Thank you for your replay.

I checked material master and negative stocks are allowed in plant.

Are there another point to check?

The error seems to occur at stock determination.

Is it impossible to use stock determination at negative stock?
