BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CANCEL

We are in a S/4 HANA 1610 environment. The landscape is

PP-Embedded EWM - MII

We are using 'Advanced Production Integration' for PP-EWM using a PMR for staging and consumption.

1. MII creates confirmation for production order using FM CO_MES_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT and this creates a consumption posting delivery (Outbound delivery) and if stock is present auto GI (261 movement) happens for this delivery. GR is decoupled and happens in an earlier step.

Question:

Now if we try to cancel a confirmation using BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CANCEL, the production order confirmation is getting cancelled, however the corresponding 262 movement type is not posted. We want to know Why?

Any pointers would be much appreciated.
