Change in Account Determination

Hi All,

We have posted the Depreciation for the Asset xxxxxx with WDV 10% p.a. for the last Fiscal Yr

For the same Asset class the Depreciation posting (Account Determination) is been assigned to the wrong GL account.

Now I would like to change the GL account, but it gives me the error:

You can no longer change the value 'xxxxxx' for the G/L account

Message no. AC476

Diagnosis

You tried to change G/L account xxxxxx. However, assets were already created with an account determination that includes this account.

System Response

You can only change the G/L account in the account determination as long as there is no asset that uses this account.

Procedure

If you want to change the account, you have to enter a new account determination containing the changed account.

My Querry is

Also I wanted to change the Depreciation key to SLM LINR 10% p.a., If I try to change that It is giving me the deferential amount to be posted.

How to post this amount in the Current year.

My Idea to resolve is:

Firstly I want to create a New asset class with the Correct assignment of GL account and do the Intercompany Asset transfer (ABUMN) to the New asset with the New deprn key LINR with 10 yrs life.

Is this the correct procedure or can we change the GL a/c assignment.

or

any other solution is needed.
