Hi Experts

I am explaning you whole scenario. I have the demand of 2400 Tonne(Releasing from DP to SNP). I want to distribute this demand on 3 resources as a Resource1- 800, Resource2- 900, Resource3 - 700.For all the resources I am having different Production rates and their Shutdown/repair days.

I want to configre the above scenario in SNP and the bucket is at Annual Level.

Please guide us whether to use optimiser or to use the Quota system.

I would be highly grateful; for your inputs for my query.

Regards

Guru

Hi,

With the combination of Resource Capacity( Say u have defined 14 Hrs as available in resource) and Rate what u define in PPM( in 1 hr u can produce 200 EA), will define how much the resource can product and optimizer will act accordingly.

If u have same product can be manufactured in 3 resources , then Rate and Cost of PPM will be the guiding factor for the Optimizer.

Good luck.

Thanks,

Hi Experts

The capacity Utilisation is there. I am also configuring the capacity utilisation and production rate in PPM.

Will optimiser will work or Shall I go for quota system straight way.

Hello ,

The Quota system will help you to map your requirement.

The In- bound quota arrangment for In- House Production will help to define the quota for each supply source(in this case PPM'S of different resources).

Hi Guru,

Whats ur objective?? It is not clear from the example you have explained.

If you always want to distribute demand , say in your example 2400 tonne, to three resources without checking their availibity and capacity, then u useSNP heu, but with that what u will acheive , is this what business want ???

Please explain a bit more...

thanks,

Partha
