Dear All,

We have a Material with two Unit of Measures (DM and KG), the conversion ratio has been changed after it has some movements in the system.

the problem is that stock overview in MMBE is equal to 0 but total stock in MB51 is not.

(Unfortunately I couldn't upload the related screenshots)

There is not the same ratio in these material documents listed. In period 23.05.2016-15.09.2016 it was changed. It had been 19.9 and was changed to 14.4. So the result is objective

Timur

Good catch! Reading the question again about "the conversion ratio has been changed after it has some movements in the system", I am wondering what the question was really? It is pretty obvious that when the conversion changed, the 261 draw is now using up less KG per DM. So, was the question really how to avoid this issue or how to fix it?

The only suggestion I have it to do an inventory count to fix it.

changing the conversion ratio while there were movements does not really hurt, but changing the conversion factor while you had inventory on hand certainly hurts and is probably irreparabel as it happened months ago.

One would need to cancel all movements that happened after this change of the ratio. Once cancelled the ratio change had to to be turned back followed by a movement to make the stock zero, then changing the ratio to the new ratio and writing on the stock again to finally redo all earlier cancelled movements.

Hi,

In MB51, you can see the actual quantity in base UOM in "quantity" field (which can be added from the layout). You may add the same and compare:

What is your Base unit of measure for your material?

Check and compare again to find any layout with variant causes your concern, and also cross check report with t.code S_P00_07000139

Dear Experts,

Really appreciate for ur replies

The Base Unit of Measure is DM. As I mentioned the conversion ratio has been changed after the material has some movements in the system. The difference between MMBE Stock (0 KG/0DM) and MB51 Total (3094 KG) is the question.

Hi,

As I stated in my previous comment, the stock movement report MB51 and the stock availability report MMBE / MB52 matching, when you check the movements based on the Quantity in base UOM (DM in your case) in MB51. If the physical stock is different, you may go for a physical inventory or cancel the incorrect conversion movements and post again with new conversion rate.

this must be since when you changed the conversion factor there was some stock. If possible find out how much stock was there at the moment of change in conversion factor. This multiplied by the change in factor should match with the excess stock you find in Kg
